Wow we are already over halfway through the first month of 2016? Where does time go to? It seems that it just whizzes past.
And that is exactly what this weeks post is about!
We are busy people, we have lots to do, places we need to be, work to get done, children to attend to, friends to catch up with, social media to check, chores to do, bills to pay……the list goes on and on and on.
It is so easy to get caught up in the frenzy of doing all these things, responding and reacting to the things that are demanding our attention that time seems to slip by and speed up. Before you know it days turn into weeks into months…..
So this week I wanted to draw your attention to your daily intentions. A daily intention is at its simplest taking a moment to set your intention to focus on what is important for you in the coming day. Some people like to meditate on it for a few minutes, some people lie to write it down, some people just like to pause whilst taking their shower, eating their breakfast or walking to the bus stop to focus on what is important TODAY.
But I want to take it one step further. I want you to try this week to spend a moment at the beginning of every day, setting your intention for the day which moves you towards where and who you want to be. I want you to be really clear for yourself at the beginning of every day to focus on what you need to do and who you need to be to move you closer to what you want.
And start making your day your own, based on your intentions rather than just a series of reactions to others demands.
At the end of the day, take a moment to reflect back, did you manage to fulfil your intentions for the day?
If you are struggling to really pin down where you want to go, who you want to be, what your intentions are, you might want to start setting some time aside to work on those – the days whizzing by will keep whizzing by and your life is far too important for it not to be lived intentionally.
