Ah, it’s that time of year again, summer holidays. Maybe you have the opportunity for a well-earned break, to put your feet up and sip a cocktail beside the pool, or maybe venturing off travelling to new and exciting places, or maybe even a bucket and spade and rockpool adventure with the kids on the beach.
It’s a magical time, a time to get away from the emails, blackberry’s, deadlines and pressures of work. It’s a time to recharge and to take stock. To look around you and take in what is going on for you right now. Maybe the first half of the year has been challenging or had some unforeseen difficulties? Maybe you have had a really successful year so far and are excited about what lies ahead? Or maybe as you stop and take stock you realise that actually you have not yet addressed some of the things you promised yourself you would. Still in the same job you decided you would have moved on from by now? Or possibly not managed to shift that extra few pounds that has appeared around your middle since last winter? Or maybe you are not seeing as much of your loved ones a you promised yourself you should do. How about the gym membership? Are you using that much these days?
