From a very early age we are conditioned to behave a certain way. Our parents influence is so strong as they do their best to helps us make a start in this world. As we progress through school, college, university and into employment we are moulded by other people’s expectations and values. The media tell us what we should think, own, how we should behave and so on.
But have you ever stopped to think about who you are, what you are doing now, what you want to do, how you want to make a difference within your lifetime? Are you living the life you truly want for yourself? Have you defined what your happiness is? Your success? Have you ever thought about how people might talk about you when you are no longer alive? How would they describe the life you led, the things you did, the difference you made?
Nicholas Lore said “It takes courage to be the author of your own life”.
To make changes to your life, to make it the life you want to live can be disruptive, challenging, costly and unsettling. That is why so many people don’t do it. It takes courage. But what about you? Think about what you want to achieve. Picture the life you dreamt of for yourself, the difference you want to make. Then take a step towards it. Coaching can help you with this.
To begin, begin.
